Constant Ear Ringing

It is a wrong practice to believe that only those who have constant ringing ear are the ones who need to seek medical attention. The truth here is that their tinnitus started as mild and intermittent but was taken for granted that is why it progressed into something annoying. Any initial symptom of ringing in the ear must be an indication for a person to seek medical examination to determine if there is something wrong with their ears, neck or head.

Based on several studies world wide, hearing damage from various causes have been identified as a very major cause for tinnitus.

It may be from excessive ear wax, exposure to loud noise, infections, tumors, etc.

Since the ringing cannot be heard by other people except the person having it, it may be difficult to describe the condition objectively.

They basically measure the intensity on how it affects a person to the point that it can create sleep deprivation and hamper a person from doing normal activities.

Usually it is only the person having tinnitus who can hear the noise , not unless they have the pulsatile type of tinnitus. The noise may be mild to severe and it can be a intermittent or constant ringing ear. The louder and constant ear noise is the one that can bother a person totally.

How does the damage occur?

Most people damage their hearing and get ringing in the ears from recklessness. Loud music is one culprit that is not known to all. People do not know there is great danger posed by listening to loud music to their ears. Ear infections can also cause tinnitus, and there are some medications which can cause tinnitus . They call these medications ototoxic drugs.

Tinnitus is really not a serious condition if we try to look at it on a medical perspective. It is not something that is fatal. The only problem is a person becomes so bothered with the noise that it will debilitate them. Debilitate in such a way that they are not able to perform their activities properly because of lack of enthusiasm and concentration.

This problem can be addressed by looking for ways to minimize the ringing so the person won't be bothered continuously and will be able to go on with their daily activities without being threatened by the unending ringing in the ear.

This cannot totally eliminate the tinnitus but it can make it milder and unnoticeable.
